Virba-San’s powerful antimicrobial activity is due to the oxidising properties of potassium monopersulfate. When dissolved in water, it produces radicals that effectively target organic structures such as microorganisms’ membranes. This makes Virba-San highly reactive, making it ideal for surface treatment, disinfecting materials, and use in footbaths. This way Virba-San helps prevent the spread of diseases in greenhouses and enhances biosecurity.
Virba-San is a versatile disinfectant, which can be safely applied to numerous materials and for different applications (see table). Even in the presence of more extreme conditions, such as organic material of temperature variations, Virba-San remains extremely effective.
