Due to the Silverstone variety’s high susceptibility to blossom end rot and the impact of stress factors, Denva Greenhouses sought a solution to boost plant resilience and substantially reduce crop losses. The aim of this trial was to increase the vitality of the plants, sharply reduce blossom end rot losses, and at the same time increase the total harvest yield.
Roam Technology set up a trial at Denva Greenhouses, applying Sili-Fert P as a biostimulant. A dedicated section of the bell pepper greenhouse, covering 8,750 m² was treated every two weeks with Sili-Fert P, mixed into the standard spray schedule. An equal-sized control section was left untreated to objectively assess the impact of Sili-Fert P.
The section treated with Sili-Fert P achieved a total yield increase of 1.25%, while losses from crop wastage decreased by an impressive 47.17% compared to the control section.
This trial led to the full implementation of Sili-Fert P, which Denva Greenhouses continues to use to this day.
I think Sili-Fert P has great potential. During our trial, we noticed a significant reduction in waste on the treated side compared to the untreated side. One of the standout advantages is its compatibility. It mixes well with other products, allowing us to apply it without the need for a separate spray, which saves time and labor.
